Mario is one of the finest Jazz and Latin trumpeters the San Francisco Bay Area has to offer. He has over 6 years of teaching experience, a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from San Francisco State University, and has been a professional musician since age 17. Mario can be heard playing trumpet in the traditional Cuban style on Despierta (featuring Grammy-nominated Sony recording artist Chuchito Valdez), the latest release from Oakland-based group, Pellejo Seco. Mario is also Artistic Director of Music Time Academy. Lessons with Mario are available in both English and Spanish.
